Internationally celebrated for her interpretations of Wagner, Strauss, Verdi and Puccini, Canadian soprano Adrianne Pieczonka’s performances have taken her to New York’s Metropolitan Opera, the Vienna Staatsoper, ROH Covent Garden, Paris, Berlin, Madrid, Munich, Frankfurt, Los Angeles and La Scala.
As a former participant of the IRCPA’s program in the 1980’s, we are proud to welcome Adrianne’s return to lead the Encounter of 2018.

Canada’s Great Diva ADRIANNE PIECZONKA
In recent years, the CanadianOpera Company has lured Canada’s internationally acclaimed soprano Adrianne Pieczonka from the world’s stages of New York, London, Paris, Milan, Berlin, Vienna, Bayreuth and Salzburg to the Four Seasons Centre for one riveting performance after another.
Adrianne is a former participant of the IRCPA program. I only had one single experience with the centre and this was a masterclass with Joan Dornemann in the 80’s. She made an impact on me however and I can highlight this. I still recall the aria I sang and the comments and tips Joan offered. It was very exciting for me to work with this renowned coach from New York.
We welcome Adrianne as the leader of the Encounter on October 26.
