An Encounter between an emerging professional singer with world renowned artists such as Sondra Radvanovsky, Brett Polegato or Adrianne Pieczonka is life changing. To present the results to growing audiences is career changing.
This is what happens in the IRCPA Encounter and Concert series for singers and instrumentalists! Thanks to The New ClassicalFM, an audience of 92,000 people heard our Singing Stars New Generation Concert. Help us maintain the availability of these basic resources, which can make or break a career. Please consider Canada’s emerging professional artists in your yearly giving plans.
- $100 provides a 90 minute one-on-one mentoring session for an artist or ensemble.
- $500 Enables you to name a Mentorship to honour a Canadian artist, (or anyone you choose), which in turn enables an artist to participate and perform in the Encounter/Concert series.
- $1200, Name a Blueprint Career Award. This coveted award gives an artist three days at New York’s National Opera America Center in a complete makeover of professional materials including photos, audio and video recordings, audition feedback, and mentoring, all tools for successful future major auditions.
Production costs of Concerts average $20,000. Your contribution to any portion of these costs will be much appreciated by the artists and their growing audiences.
“Greetings from Adrianne Pieczonka from Vienna, I’ve been a professional opera singer for over thirty years. Things have changed since I started out. The classical music business has become much more competitive and therefore the path to becoming a professional musician has also become more difficult. More and more, singers in particular find themselves in a transition period upon graduation…young singers often require a few more years before they are able to launch their professional operatic or concert careers. During this time, it is important for them to keep having regular lessons and coaching so that their skills continue to sharpen and grow.
Most competitions cost a lot of money, and the costs are going up. Every participant in an Encounter and Concert has not had to put up money to be there. In fact, they get a stipend, or a scholarship/mentorship, which is really great.”
